What does GPT stand for anyway?

GPT stands for Get Paid To. Advertisers are always looking for a way to introduce people to their products and attract new customers. Many advertisers offer an incentive for you to try their products, in the hope that you will want to remain a customer.

GPT programs are websites that will pay you for signing up with their advertisers. When you sign up and complete an offer, everybody wins. You, the consumer, get to try a service or product for a nominal cost or even for free. In addition you receive a cash incentive for doing so. The advertiser has the opportunity to introduce their service or product to a new potential customer, and the GPT program makes a small profit for bringing the parties together.

A GPT program does not require you to refer anyone to the program in order to make money. However most of them will pay you a percentage (usually 10%) of what your referral earns. Your referral still keeps 100% of what they earn; the "referral bonus" is just the GPT program's way of thanking you for bringing new customers to their advertisers.

*Freebie programs are very similar to GPT programs, with a few small differences. A freebie program usually requires you to sign up and complete 1 offer, then refer several friends to sign up under you and each complete one offer. When you have achieved the required amount of referrals you receive a cash payout, or a prize. Do I have to spend money to make money?

Every GPT (get paid to) site has thousands of offers, and many of those offers are 100% free. You can make hundreds of dollars each month without spending any money. The offers are usually in a category on the GPT site marked "freebies" and consist of surveys, signups, and email and zip code submits.

If you are willing or able to spend a small amount of money doing offers then you can make far more money each month. Some offers are free during the trial period, and others are very cheap. There are several that cost $1 to try. The payout for trial offers ranges anywhere from $5 to $30 or more per offer. If you can spend $25-$50 a month you can earn over $1000, just doing trial offers.

Most sites have a lot of the same offers. I recommend signing up at several different sites, because not all of the offers are available on each GPT site. I have linked to several different GPT sites that I personally use and recommend in the links section on the right hand side of the page. If you sign up using one of my links, I will receive credit for you as a referral.

Most of the offers you will encounter are from reputable companies that you are already familiar with. Never repeat an offer, even on different sites. This is considered offer fraud and if you are caught, you will be banned from that GPT program. This means if you have signed up for Blockbuster at DealBarbiePays, you should not sign up for Blockbuster again at Treasure Trooper or Instant Profitz.

When signing up for an offer, read the terms of service very carefully. Most offers will charge your credit card once the trial period is up, if you choose to keep the service. It is a good idea to keep a log of what offers you have signed up for, when you signed up, when your card will be charged if you do not cancel, how to contact customer service, and any other pertinent information.
